Ranking question types allow respondents to rank the listed answers in
order of importance using a series of drop-down menu. To select an answer,
respondents click the arrow drop-down menu and click their desired rank in
blue.
Best used when:
- Need to determine relative preferences among a choice set
Advantages:
- Customizable text of rank intervals
- Extracts ordinal data on multiple attributes
- Conserves space
- Increases response rates
Limitations:
- Yields only close-ended data
- No rating data
- Respondents choose only answer option per attribute
