Determine What, if Any, Incentive Will be Offered

Survey Incentive

Rewarding your survey participants is important because it lets them know you value the time they take to complete your survey. You can offer a tangible inducement, like a coupon to a retail outlet or a rebate on one of your products.

Other times, there may be no survey incentive at all. For example, certification surveys are mandatory at many institutions and the incentive with these surveys is primarily achieved certification.

Whatever short-term inducement you use to get individuals to participate, Survey Administrators must always reward survey participants by not over-surveying or sending too many reminders. If you do, you create a disconnect with your audience, which can lead to survey fatigue and decreased response rates for online surveys.
