The overall productivity of a company, including the productivity of
co-workers, can affect an employee’s perception of fairness within the
company.
Consider a particular department within a company whose employees tend to
frequently “pass the buck.”, or shift responsibility to co-workers when they
are unwilling to take on or finish a task. For those employees who are stuck
with the extra work, there could be resentment toward management for
allowing such a situation to happen. So as managers, delegate work evenly
and monitor employees for instances of evading responsibility.
